Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) mission is to ensure consistency and support for children in the foster care system through the use of volunteer advocates advancing the best interests of each child. Some of our members have served as CASA advocates helping children in foster care in our community. The meeting will start at 7:30 am and we'll be meeting at North Ridge Country Club. |

Join us for an exciting meeting where we will hear from Sarah Junkin Woodard...one of our International Partners on a Rotary global grant! Sarah is a founding member of the Ciudad Sandino Rotary Club in Nicaragua and she works with the Jubilee House Community...the recipient of our support through a Rotary global grant. She builds bridges and opens opportunities for international service connections between U.S. Rotarians and Nicaraguans, actively participating in both COVID-19 relief and hurricane relief efforts. Our meeting will begin at 7:30 am and we'll be meeting at North Ridge Country Club.

![]() Speaker - Col (Ret) John McKay

Joining us again as a speaker will be Col. (Ret) John McKay. Colonel McKay enlisted in the Marine Corps in January 1962. He was part of the designated landing force for the envisioned invasion of Cuba in the Fall of 1962. He was appointed from the ranks to the U. S. Naval Academy in 1964. He served two tours in Vietnam. Retired, Col McKay was involved with the CIA in Palestine, and South America. Civil sector employment entailed positions in West Africa and Jerusalem. He was with the DEA as a special assistant to the Director of Intelligence, concentrating on Mexican drug cartels. Until the pandemic, Col McKay was an Adjunct Professor at California State University, Sacramento. He is currently involved in bringing to justice alleged perpetrators of war crimes committed during the El Salvadorian civil war. He will speak at our meeting on March 14 and we'll be meeting at North Ridge Country Club. |

For only $40 (kids are only $10) you get bowling, shoe rental, and unlimited pizza and soda! It's fun to see how good...and bad...some of our members are at bowling. This is the third annual Rotary trip and is led by our own Point West Rotarian, Jeff Devoll. According to Jeff, you’ll work hard, play hard, and laugh hard on this unforgettable journey! The Alzheimer's Association is the leading, global voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care and support, and the largest private, nonprofit funder of Alzheimer's research. Bonnie provides direct services to individuals living with mild cognitive impairment, Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, and their families. She conducts education workshops, facilitates support groups, provides care consultation, oversees early stage programs, and leads outreach and community engagement efforts to the diverse communities in the greater Sacramento region. This is your opportunity to learn about this disease from an expert! We will be meeting at Del Paso Country Club - the meeting begins at 7:30 am. |

Utilizing rescued horses for mental health therapy, Hearts Landing Ranch provides over 2,000 hours annually of mental health services to some of the most underserved people in our communities who suffer in silent desperation - including but not limited to, children, families, individuals, Veterans and First Responders. They cover issues that range from sexual abuse, domestic violence, PTSD, human trafficking and everything in between. Hearts Landing Ranch has been serving clients in El Dorado, Placer and Sacramento Counties for over 10 years. A not-to-be-missed meeting, for sure! |
