Putting for Polio!

Eradicating Polio - it's Rotary's #1 goal and we're on it! Join us for our annual "Putting for Polio" event at Haggin Oaks Golf Course on Friday, October 9th at 7:30 am. This will replace our usual Friday morning meeting and we will gather to putt, have fun...and raise money to help fight polio! Polio is endemic in only two countries, Pakistan and Afghanistan, and we must continue to fight this disease to eradicate it from the world forever! While we have no new cases here in the United States, polio is only a plane ride away so we must stay vigilant and continue to fight the good fight. We appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you on October 9th at Haggin Oaks. Bring your putter, wear your favorite (or weirdest) golf togs and get ready to have fun and fight a disease! We will have breakfast available as well as the usual camaraderie and fellowship! See you there! |

It's baaaack! Our annual "Putting for Polio" day is set for Friday, October 9th. Just a reminder that this event replaces our regular Friday morning meeting. So we will be at Haggin Oaks, at the putting area, to do some puttin' AND raise funds to help Rotary eradicate polio in the world!
Grab your putter, grab your checkbook and head out to Haggin Oaks for breakfast and putting - and fighting polio! And wear your fun and funky golf togs...there just may be an award for the wildest golf outfit! We'll be starting the event at 7:30 am...our regular start time for our Friday morning meeting. Just a different location with a different purpose. Thank you for your support - we'll see you out there!

Another week at the circus with Point West Rotary and Ringmaster President Randy Burton! Our speaker at this meeting will be Bradley Schmidt, CEO of Northern California PET Imaging Center. Brad is a nationally recognized leader in ambulatory care, including molecular imaging, radiology, and managed care design. He has built a reputation for advancing radiology in ways that are precise, economical, and scalable. One of this week's guest will be another Rotarian...Sue Hayes from the Rotary Club of American River! Sue will share stories about RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awakening), the week long camp for high school students that literally changes lives...both of the students who attend and the counselors! A wonderful program that our club has supported for decades. We'll also have our regular announcements, birthday wishes, fun...and a great buffet breakfast! The bell rings at 7:30 am to start the meeting, but join us a bit early to eat and chat! |
