Another favorite meeting - our annual speech contest!  Join us as we hear from local high school students speak on "Unite for Good", which is Rotary International's theme for this year.  It's always amazing to hear how articulate and eloquent these students are!  We will be meeting at Del Paso Country Club - the meeting starts at 7:30 am, but come early to enjoy breakfast and camaraderie with fellow members! 

It's Valentine's Day Eve and we're having a meeting that is sure to be memorable!  Our speaker will be Chris Marshall, current president of the Sacramento 20-30 Club.  Don't forget that the founding members of our Rotary Club came from the 20-30 club, so let's give Chris a warm, Rotary welcome!  We'll also have a Paul Harris Fellow presentation with two new club Major Donors to be announced!  Our members are generous, kind and ready to support and help others where we can!  We'll be meeting at Del Paso Country Club, starting at 7:30 am.  But come early for a great buffet breakfast and the opportunity to mingle with friends and fellow Rotarians!

Dick Fowler, a member of our District's Youth Protection Committee, will be joining us to provide info on what youth protection certification is all about and why we need to talk about it in Rotary.  Dick will ensure we all know what to do when faced with an ethical situation involving youth in one of our programs or events.  Also, a reminder about the annual PWR Charity Golf Classic "Birdies Over Bunkers" happening on  Monday, May 18th at Valley Hi Country Club.  We need sponsors, players, volunteers, raffle prize donators, etc.  So check your calendars (to play, sponsor or volunteer) and your closets and connections (for those great raffle prizes) and help support the tournament...and local children's charities.  As Russell Prater says...it's about the kids!  Our meeting will begin at 7:30 am at Del Paso Country Club...hope to see you there!

Senate Majority Leader Angelique Ashby will be our speaker on February 27, 2026.  Senator Ashby represents the 8th District and is the first woman elected to represent Sacramento in the California State Senate in more than 20 years. Prior to joining the legislature, she was elected to the Sacramento City Council, where she served for 12 years. She was the sole woman for more than half of her tenure, and is the only member in city history to serve as Vice Mayor or Mayor Pro Tem for 8 years.  During her time on City Council, she secured millions to fund schools, community centers, parks and fire stations. She brought thousands of high-wage jobs to the Sacramento region, by attracting a Fortune 100 company.  Join us for this great speaker...as well as a buffet breakfast, service project info, happy bucks and birthday wishes!  We will be meeting at Del Paso Country Club starting promptly at 7:30 am.

It's time for our 3rd club social...at the beautiful B Street Theatre (2700 Capitol Avenue, Sacramento)!  A little bit meeting, a lot of socializing, great food and a whole lotta fun!  Bring your family, friends, neighbors - mix and mingle and enjoy hanging out with your favorite people...Rotarians!  Don't forget...this is on a Thursday night and begins at 6 pm...which means we will be dark the next day, Friday, March 6th.  Join us for fun and socializing!

Join us on Friday morning, March 27th when our speaker will be Rigo Tovar, Program Manager with the Sacramento Literacy Foundation.  The Foundation's mission is to help all children in our community read at grade-level.  Interesting to us readers and non-readers alike...this is sure to be a meeting not to be missed!  Add in the usual announcements, fines, happy dollars, and camaraderie...and you have a great meeting!  We will be at Del Paso Country Club, beginning promptly at 7:30 am!

A very topical and informative meeting on May 1st...our speaker will be Chrissy Sykes on Zoom.  Chrissy, a Rotarian, is the Founder of the "My Body is My Body" Program and CEO of the MBIMB Foundation.  She is an accomplished and award-winning singer/songwriter and recording artist who has left an indelible mark on the music scenes in both South Africa and Nashville, USA. However, her passion for making a positive impact on the world led her to channel her songwriting skills into a groundbreaking program called "My Body is My Body" 34 years ago.  Please join us as she shares her perspective on empowering girls.
